Coursework varies from designing for various functional and commercial purposes including residential, recreational, and for public services. Mainly studio- and research-based, students will be able to develop unique approaches to interior design, introducing their own personal flair to projects, which is a vital part of the interior design course as creativity is the key to succeeding in the industry.
Students are exposed to historical, cultural, and social ties of every project to gain a better understanding of the subjects at hand in order to achieve optimum results. This method creates a well-rounded student with a good understanding of society and its constantly evolving range of needs and ideals, so their work will be equally as dynamic. In addition, students’ sense and choice of colours, patterns, motifs as well as other related designs will be coordinated with industrial standards and conventions for a more realistic and practical approach to the usm.media.
