Sabah Institute of Art now stands proud as one of the providers of quality higher education in East Malaysia. As Malaysia moves towards k-economy era, education becomes even more important than ever before. Not any kind of education but quality education that prepares students to be multi-skilled, computer literate, conversant in English Language and able to grasp the rapid change in information technology, be it in the commerce, industry or academic field.

Our mission at the Sabah Institute of Art is to produce scholars, professionals and specialists in their respective fields, particularly in Art and Design, who would provide leadership and catalysts towards the development and improvement of universal well being. All our program are designed to satisfy the requirements of Lembaga Akreditasi Negara (LAN). The Art and Design diploma and degree programmes fulfill the membership requirements of the relevant professional bodies. All these will ensure our students are fully qualified and employable upon graduation. It is always our hope that SIA would be suitably poised to meet the challenges in its aspirations to become a university college and a leader in private education in Sabah and in East Malaysia, in line with the Prime Minister's vision for Malaysia to become a center for academic excellence.

I urge the youth of Malaysia to participate in the programmes offered by SIA and gear up to meet the challenges of transforming the country into a developed nation.
