CATERED TO THE EVER-DEMANDING BUILDING INDUSTRY
Students will be introduced to the fascinating and dynamic world of the architecture industry. The course encompasses the artistic, scientific, and technological aspects of architecture and development of buildings, but also the context and principles of architectural design. Students will be equipped with the skills and expertise needed to present bright and creative ideas of building drawings for clients’ needs and certification.
Tutorials and practical site visits form part of the coursework for a more thorough understanding of the practical nature of the subject. Guidelines are detailed for in-depth research studies on specific building themes- both classical architectural concepts and the innovative organic form that is becoming increasingly popular especially due to its integration with environmental awareness and sustainability.
Students will also be exposed to legal framework concerning the construction and building industry as well as issues related to the manufacturing of building materials and their sources to be deliberated for case studies.
