Due to the recent figure where more than 50% part-time lecturers were involved in the Re-Do subject commitment in all departments for the past few semesters, the management had to cope with a very high cost in hiring part time lecturers or external examiners to be involved in re-do subjects. This however, does not tally with the small amount of fee that a student was previously charged for his/her re-do subject.
The management has therefore decided to have students pay the actual amount of charges rate for each of their repeated or re-do subject, starting this semester. However students are not charged for retaining the Semester for the 1st time, but will be charged if failing the Semester 2nd time onwards.
As much as the management would like to show its leniency, certain degree of strictness could nevertheless benefit students in improving the quality of their academic performance. Students with valid and reasonable reason for failing the subject concerned will not be required to pay the fee for the re-do as the payment will be settled by the management.
